What the feed can see

Coverage and limits of the FlyGamma map.

A quiet area of the map means we have fewer usable reports there. It does not mean no aircraft are flying.

Reported positions

The map plots coordinates supplied by the flight feed. It does not invent a position between reports. A selected flight without coordinates can still have a timetable, but it has no aircraft position to show.

Map categories

Flights shows reported airborne positions. Airports shows known airport locations. Airlines starts with available hub locations and shows a carrier's reported flights when selected. Aircraft narrows positions to the selected type. Routes shows observed connections between airport pairs.

Lines are route overviews

A line between airports is a geographic connection, not the aircraft's actual flown track or an air-traffic-control clearance. The globe hides locations on its far side; rotate it or switch to Flat to see them.

What may be missing

Coverage, identification, timetables, terminal assignments, gate assignments and timezone information vary. An airport in the directory may have no linked flight in the current snapshot. Missing data is not a claim that an airport or airline is inactive.

Using the information

FlyGamma is for exploration. Check the airline or airport directly for travel decisions. It is not a navigation, safety, dispatch or guaranteed real-time service.
