Airport code guide

Chicago airport: ORD or MDW?

Chicago O'Hare and Chicago Midway have separate airport codes and separate live boards. A flight reported against one will not appear in the other's airport-only view. The code beside the flight on your booking is therefore more useful than a city-only label.

Choose by the code on your ticket

ORD identifies O'Hare; MDW identifies Midway. If a flight changes time or airline, confirm its current airport code rather than relying on an old saved search. On a two-leg itinerary, make sure the airport where the first flight lands matches the code from which the next flight leaves.

Published airport records

Each record below describes a dated window of flights seen by FlyGamma. Use the separate board links for a current request.

Checking a connection or pickup

FlyGamma's records can show what its feed observed at either airport in the dated publication window. They cannot establish a future schedule, a gate or a workable transfer. Use the airline and airport for decisions about check-in, pickup and connection time.

What FlyGamma can and cannot confirm

The linked airport records are observations from the published archive window, not a timetable. The live-board buttons ask for a limited current window when pressed; an empty answer does not prove no flight operates today. For a particular journey, search the flight number and confirm the result with the operating airline or airport. See what the feed can see.

Need to verify a three-letter code independently? Use IATA’s official airport-code search. For travel decisions, the current airline booking is the authority.
