Airport code guide

JFK, EWR or LGA for New York?

A search for a New York flight can refer to Kennedy, Newark or LaGuardia. These are not three names for the same terminal. Newark Liberty is in Newark, while JFK and LaGuardia are separately named New York airports. The code is the reliable way to choose FlyGamma's airport page.

Choose by the code on your ticket

Look at the flight's origin and destination fields, not just a headline saying New York. JFK means John F. Kennedy International, EWR means Newark Liberty, and LGA means LaGuardia. If a booking combines an arrival and an onward departure, verify both codes; the itinerary may not use the same airport for both legs.

Published airport records

Each record below describes a dated window of flights seen by FlyGamma. Use the separate board links for a current request.

Checking a connection or pickup

A live flight search can help identify a reported airport, but a missing map mark does not change the booking. For pickup, check the operating airline's own status and the airport code shown on its current arrival information. The dated records below are useful context, not today's timetable.

What FlyGamma can and cannot confirm

The linked airport records are observations from the published archive window, not a timetable. The live-board buttons ask for a limited current window when pressed; an empty answer does not prove no flight operates today. For a particular journey, search the flight number and confirm the result with the operating airline or airport. See what the feed can see.

Need to verify a three-letter code independently? Use IATA’s official airport-code search. For travel decisions, the current airline booking is the authority.
