Airport code guide

MIA or FLL: Miami or Fort Lauderdale?

Travel searches can put Miami International and Fort Lauderdale Hollywood in the same broader area. Their airport codes still identify different airports in different cities. FlyGamma publishes separate observation records for MIA and FLL, so an airport-only check must use the code printed on the booking.

Choose by the code on your ticket

MIA is Miami International Airport; FLL is Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport. If someone tells you a flight is coming to Miami, ask for the exact code or flight number before arranging a pickup. A broad destination label cannot replace the airport field on an airline itinerary.

Published airport records

Each record below describes a dated window of flights seen by FlyGamma. Use the separate board links for a current request.

Checking a connection or pickup

Neither record predicts which airport a future flight will use, and a live map mark is only a reported position. If the booking or operating airline changes the airport, rely on its latest confirmation. Do not use FlyGamma's historical flight counts to decide whether travelling between MIA and FLL will fit a connection.

What FlyGamma can and cannot confirm

The linked airport records are observations from the published archive window, not a timetable. The live-board buttons ask for a limited current window when pressed; an empty answer does not prove no flight operates today. For a particular journey, search the flight number and confirm the result with the operating airline or airport. See what the feed can see.

Need to verify a three-letter code independently? Use IATA’s official airport-code search. For travel decisions, the current airline booking is the authority.
